Name: Warder, Sex: Male
Age: Unknown, estimated between 4-6 years
Neutered: Yes
Friendly To Dogs: Male – No, Female – Maybe
Friendly to Kids: Yes! He comes to the bus stop every day and loves to be snuggled by kiddos
Friendly to Cats: No
Leash Trained: Yes
Additional Training: Doesn’t chew on Legos/kid toys/stuffed animals, takes food and treats gently, doesn’t jump, he can sit, stay, lay down
Motivation: Food and main person
Medical: Warder just got updated vaccinations for Bordatella, Rabies, and Canine 5-in-1 and will be set for 3 years
Items: Running leash, gentle leader, extendable leash, two water bowls, slow feed bowl, food, kong
Personality: If you want a dog that will fit right into your family, meet Warder. Every person who meets him absolutely adores him, whether they be a kid or adult. He just wants your pets and also maybe your snacks. He loves car rides, camping, and hiking but he’s just as happy cozying up on the couch. He loves to snuggle and will shove his nose under blankets to curl up as close as he can to you. All of his pet sitters comment on how well behaved and sweet he is.
Reason for Rehoming: As a busy single parent, Warder’s love and loyalty isn’t appreciated as much as it should be. He wants to be everywhere I am and I need to be everywhere all at once, which doesn’t work out. I adopted him when I lived near family and friends in Colorado, when I had support with my kid and my dog. Things changed and now I'm here in PA and I've tried really hard to make it work but caring for a dog is just too much for me as a single mom. Warder deserves to have all the love in the world and I just can’t provide that for him.
Other: Warder has been in altercations with male dogs. He has had friendships with female dogs. He has a high prey drive that I worked hard to curb but I still don’t think he would be ideal in a home with cats or other small creatures. Warder loves kids and is a shadow dog for his bonded human, so he would be great for a family or an individual.
