RECEPTIONIST / CLIENT CARE SPECIALIST

As a Receptionist / Client Care Specialist, you’re the warm, welcoming first impression for our pet parents. You’ll deliver exceptional service at the front desk, manage bookings with care, and help ensure smooth communication between our team and our clients—so every visit feels effortless.


What You’ll Do

  • Greet pet parents, guide check-ins and check-outs, and answer questions with a smile
  • Manage appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling with accuracy and empathy
  • Answer phones and emails; return voicemails promptly and professionally
  • Process payments and keep client accounts up to date
  • Share important updates about each pet’s stay or services
  • Lend a hand with safe, gentle dog handling as needed
  • Maintain accurate vaccination records and document pet health notes
  • Track new and current client inquiries and follow through to resolution
  • Keep reception tidy and support light cleaning/sanitation in shared areas (office,
  • playroom, dish room, salon, bathroom)


What You Bring

  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Genuine comfort around dogs and a calm, caring presence
  • Strong organization and time-management abilities; attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy: proficient with Microsoft Outlook and standard computer hardware
  • Experience with Gingr (preferred) or similar pet-care software
  • 3–5 years of customer service/administrative experience
  • 3–5 years in a pet-care facility (preferred)


Availability and How to Apply

Flexibility With Hours: Because pets need care all day, everyday, our hours of operation include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. All staff are required to be available for all shifts and must submit requests for time off a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. Approval is based on work load and first request will get first approval.

Shift hours: Mon-Sunday, 7:30am-11:30 am and 3:00pm-7pm

KENNEL TECH

RECEPTIONIST / CLIENT CARE SPECIALIST

RECEPTIONIST / CLIENT CARE SPECIALIST

  • Role and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
  • 60% of your time will be spent cleaning and disinfecting.
  • Inside Kennels and Outside runs and play yards – sweeping, scooping, disinfecting, squeegee and mopping runs, cots, and aisles
  • Preparing meals and replacing water for each dog
  • Routine cleaning and maintenance of cots
  • Washing dishes - water/food bowls and buckets
  • Laundry for grooming and boarding
  • Routine cleaning of indoor playroom and front office
  • Collecting trash throughout building weekly
  • Regular cleaning and disinfecting of pools and toys

The remaining 40% of your time will include:

  • Handling dogs – leashing, walking, moving dogs as required
  • Helping the front desk during check-in/out of each boarding, daycare, and grooming dogs
  • Setting up kennels and runs for incoming boarding and daycare dogs prior to reservations.
  • Reporting and documenting any health, eating, or behavioral issues of each dog if/when it happens
  • Managing daycare dogs – handling/moving daycare dogs between different play yards, runs, kennels and indoor playroom as required
  • Assisting Salon with dog bathing and drying.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years Previous experience with dog handling is preferred.
  • MUST LOVE ALL DOGS!
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be physically able to handle large, strong dogs, and meet the physical demand of daily cleaning regiment.
  • Must be able to work independently AND as a member of a team.
  • Must be willing to be trained on the job and through miscellaneous mediums as requested by Owner. All training time will be compensated and is to be determined pending type of training requested.


Additional Notes

This position reports directly to the Owner or Manager on Duty


Benefits for employees that work an average of 10 hours/week include:

  • 50% off grooming of employee’s pets
  • Free boarding for employees’ pets up to 7 days/year.
  • Benefits listed above will depend on temperament and health status of each dog. 
  • All requirements for customer’s apply for employees as well; to include, but not limited to vaccinations, health status, and behavioral issues.
